A Loss of Reflection

If only a mirror could show us a reflection of the past rather than a mirrored image of our present selves. I have let many of my purposeful practices slip from habit in order to make time for what doesn't really matter to me. I have forgone my weekly meditation but more importantly forgotten to self evaluate myself. It is a dangerous time when you forget to reflect on how well you are moving to reach your goals. But I have forgotten because I busy myself with things that others consider important. This month I have been metaphorically driving through life with no direction, no destination, no purpose. Before, even if I wasn't driving towards my destination, I was sure of where I was going to end. As of recent, my life has progressed like we do driving without deciding where to eat, wandering the same streets I did the day before. Well in these brief unclouded moments of reflection, I have looked into the mirror that reflects the past which has reilluminated my destination and position and with a little bit of luck I can progress towards my goal with fewer detours and distractions. Realize, Reflect, Reorganize.
